8:00 AM - 10:00 AM Ann Arbor Station Leadership Advisory Group Meeting - Environmental Assessment Draft
The City of Ann Arbor has scheduled a series of meetings to continue public participation in the Ann Arbor Station Environmental Review project. Meetings include the next Citizen Working Group (CWG) meeting and Leadership Advisory Group (LAG) meeting, both on Wednesday, Oct. 11, as well as a public meeting on Thursday, Oct. 12, 2017. The LAG includes representation from local businesses and organizations, while the CWG is comprised of resident representatives from the community.

During the meetings, the project team will present the Draft Environmental Assessment, address questions and accept written comments. The draft assessment, project information, notes and presentations from previous meetings can be found at a2gov.org/annarborstation. 

The purpose of the Ann Arbor Station Environmental Review Project is to conduct an environmental review and produce a conceptual design for a new passenger rail station/intermodal facility in the city of Ann Arbor, as outlined in the city’s adopted 2009 Transportation Plan Update. Project participants have considered several potential station alternatives and will now have an opportunity to review and comment on the identified preferred selection.

Fire is used as a restoration tool in many of Ann Arbor's natural areas. This meeting provides information and an opportunity for discussion about NAP's Controlled Ecological Burn Program. This is the perfect opportunity to ask questions, learn more about the ecological benefits of burning, and hear about the specifics of effectively and safely using fire as a restoration tool. Burns are conducted in city parts throughout the spring and fall.
