9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Stewardship Workday

Have you seen enough wildflowers this spring? If not, come enjoy the rich spread of native wildflowers at Lakewood Nature Area. Explore the several ravines, streams, and hilly habitats in this beautiful nature area. Unfortunately, invasive species threaten the diversity here. Take part in our efforts to remove these threatening invaders. Meet us at the Lakewood Elementary School parking lot off Gralake Avenue (map). Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.  All participants must complete a release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools, snacks, and know-how provided.

9:30 AM - 12:30 PM Bridge Barometer Game

There’s a NEW game in town!

ACBL BAROMETER GAME!

Join fellow bridge players for a fun morning of educational bridge play with Bridge Director and Emerald Life Master, Debra Eaves. The Barometer game consists of 12 boards to play.  All tables play the same board at the same time.  Upon completion of each hand, the cards are placed face up on the table (double dummy style) with a brief (5 minute) lesson/discussion. ACBL masterpoints are awarded (60% of full game awards).

Want to improve your game? Know someone who would like to get back into bridge?  This is the perfect opportunity.  No partner necessary.  We will find you one!

Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.  All participants must complete a release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools, snacks, and know-how provided.
