8:00 AM - 2:00 PM City Clerk's Office Open 8am-2pm for In-person Absentee Voting
These special city clerk's office hours are for eligible voters to receive and vote absentee ballots in person. Call 734.794.6140 or go online for more information on the Aug. 8 Primary Election: www.a2gov.org/elections. To check your voter registration, absentee ballot status and view sample ballots, visit the Michigan Voter Information Center: http://www.michigan.gov/vote.

9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Stewardship Workday

This park has come a long way from its past as a gravel quarry. Now bicyclists, dog owners, soccer players and hikers all use it. Volunteers are needed to hand-pull invasive weeds where they are invading open meadows. Meet at the entrance on Dhu Varren Road, just east of Pontiac Trail. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Every participant must present a completed release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools, snacks, and know-how provided.

Olson Park
1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Stewardship Workday

Come on out to experience a woods filled with oak, hickory, maple and dogwood. Volunteers will work on removing summer invasive plant species, like Japanese hedge parsley, which have a negative impact on wildlife habitat. This is a great park to bring families out to enjoy a day outdoors. Meet us on Tibbits Ct., off Pontiac Trail. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes. Every participant must present a completed release form, and all minors should be accompanied by a guardian. Tools, snacks, and know-how provided.

Black Pond Woods Nature Area - Tibbets Court
1:30 PM - 4:30 PM Volunteer at Buhr Park Pool Splash Day

Volunteers needed: Join us for a fun-filled volunteer opportunity leading games and activities for kids both in and out of the water at one of our three pools. Set-up and take-down times are included, and not all volunteers will need to know how to swim. We are looking for people who are comfortable interacting with children and the public. Bring a bathing suit for water activities (one-piece suits preferred). Splash days/times are below.
